Job description
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for taking the Lead in supporting BBBEE Transformation with the execution of all BBBEE transformation interventions across all pillars across the Company - ensuring that Company complies with legislative requirements and aligns to the business strategy. The key focus for the individual is to monitor implementation of various BBBEE initiatives in areas of ownership, management control, employment equity (EE), skills development and preferential procurement (PP). Responsible for supporting development and implementation of the EE plan.
KEY RESULTS / ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensuring Legislative and internal compliance with BBBEE Act and Codes, including BEE Scorecard
• Monitor transformation and BBBEE legislative changes and updates
• Assist with compilation of responses to draft legislations relating to transformation
• Ensure audit and verification processes of Company's BBBEE contributions and compliance are successfully conducted timeously on an annual basis
• Draft and develop transformation strategy and execution thereof
• Draft BBBEE Transformation Policy and implement internally through consultation and training across the business
• Support development and implementation of transformation action plans
• Execution of detailed BBBEE transformation implementation plans and initiatives
• Co-ordinate the execution of transformation strategy and communication for all related projects
• Improve BEE transformation scorecard to Level 4 minimum
• Build strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders, internally and externally
• Track Company's BBBEEE contributions and ensure the integrity of data and documentation of elements
• Co-ordinate the company BBBEE process
• Help develop EE reporting and monitoring tool
• Support project management of transformation initiatives/projects Preferential Procurement
• Support development and implementation of a Procurement Equity Strategy for Company
• Liaise with Procurement to identify existing gaps and optimise services to be set aside for BEE Suppliers
• Report on current status of suppliers and future initiatives
• Provide guidance on how suppliers should be evaluated and improved
• Provide support to existing suppliers to increase their BBBEE credentials
• Encourage suppliers to get independent ratings of their BEE credentials
• Facilitate the creation of new suppliers where applicable
• Develop relationships with Black Business groups to identify potential new Equity suppliers to Company
• Participate and drive discussions with internal and external stakeholders about progress in implementing the Company Transformation plan
• Participate in stakeholder transformation forums
• Participate and drive information sessions to highlight major changes, challenges, strategies and action plans
• Identify transformation risks and develop risk mitigation plan
• Track and monitor identified measures to improve EE
• Participate in BBBEE communication meetings

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Education Level:
· Relevant degree/ diploma (NQF level 7 – Management Development Programme)
· Experience:
· 7 years of relevant experience in a Transformation role
· A minimum of 2 years experience in a Transformation role at management/EXCO level.
· Experience with EEIP preferred
· Extensive experience with the BEE Scorecard requirements mandatory
