Work Experience Placement - Manufacturing

This work experience opportunity is aimed at students aged 14-18 who are in full-time or part-time education and would like to gain experience in an aerospace environment.

Placements are one week in duration and based at Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester. We are only able to support work experience placements between March and August 2027.

Join our work experience programme and gain valuable insight into careers within the aerospace industry while working alongside experienced professionals. During your placement, you will see first-hand how different teams contribute to the success of a global organisation.

What will you experience?

Manufacturing

Gain an insight into how aircraft landing gear components are manufactured in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Learn about production processes, manufacturing techniques, quality checks and the importance of safety and precision throughout the manufacturing process. You will develop valuable workplace skills including teamwork, communication, problem-solving and attention to detail while working alongside experienced operators and engineers.
