Technical Developer

What We Need

We are looking for a Technical Business Developer to support Food distribution growth, through technical support, training, and collaboration with our preferred distributors.

What You'll Do

·  Lead technical support for the Americas Distributors, collaborate closely with Americas Distribution team and regional commercial team, lead with a strong technical knowledge and go-to market approach.
·  Ensure technical competencies of our preferred distributors, defining and leading technical training to the Americas Distributors; closely collaborate with the regional application team.
·  Lead, participate, and define the technical action/ go-to market plan linked to Roquette’s global commercial Distribution strategy: Lead, nourish and grow the technical relationship with the Distributors in the Americas Region.
·  Identify new project opportunities through relationship building, networking, educational opportunities (like Lunch and Learns), trade shows and training events. Support and grow the Distribution Sales Funnel
·  Ensure the technical competencies accuracy of our distributors to develop our regional business growth (Food Specialty, CORE and Protein Businesses).
·  Define, manage, and conduct technical training to our preferred distributors. Collaborate closely with Roquette’s Customer Technical Service network in the region as part of the Global Distribution strategy.
·  Support Roquette’s promotional global and regional Marketing campaigns to regional distributors coordinating with Distribution, Application, and Marketing Teams.
·  Contribute to Roquette’s regional and global Distribution strategy. Collaborate closely with the Global Technical Business Development Manager.
·  Coordinate the relationship between the regional Roquette and distribution food application team(s)in the region.
·  Support the development of the online distribution portal: ensure information is up to date and relevant.
·  Participate in and support technical discussions within the food industry; keep informed on upcoming technologies, customer/ industry trends and food regulations.
·  Support innovation process through collaboration with distributors’ technical team (s)

What You'll Need

·  MS in Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry, or equivalent.
·  8 to 12 years of industry food product development experience or food ingredients technical sales experience with strong people skills and commercial sense.
·   Understanding of ingredients and usage; interactions and processing
·  Strong business acumen: understanding the food ingredients distribution market & understanding the drivers for financial and business growth.
·  Strong collaboration skills: ability to work effectively in a transversal team environment including external stakeholders.
·  Effective communication skills
·  Delivers messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner.
·  Actively listens and checks for understanding.
·  Ability to effectively present information to groups and respond to questions from external counterparts.
·  Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills e.g., delivering presentations.
·  Domestic and international travel (up to 30%) required.
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel, power-point,).
·  Bilingual English-Spanish speaker preferred.
