Roquette is seeking a talented Design Project Engineer in our Keokuk, IA location! The Project Engineer will be in charge of the design, technical development and outcomes of the CAPEX projects and will work in close collaboration with the Project Manager and the Project Team.

Position Overview:
During the study phase of the project, the Project Engineer will design and draft by itself (AutoCAD 3D modeling, 2D drawings as lay-out, general arrangement drawings of the building, equipment installation, PFD, P&ID, technical specifications, piping routing & isometrics….) or ensure the coordination of a group of designers and drafters (internal and/or external) using their own in-depth knowledge to include broad experience in equipment/piping installation, and building design/construction (civil works, steel structures …).
During the project bidding process, the Project Engineer will participate with the Project Manager and purchasing department to the selection of the Vendors and external Contractors.
During the execution phase of the project, the Project Engineer will follow-up the execution studies and the construction of the new installation with Vendors and Contractors up to the commissioning and performance test of the new installation.
What You Will Do:
· Carry-out, develop and coordinate the project general study in collaboration with the project manager, the designers/drafters (internal and/or external) and the different departments involved. As such, the incumbent must have a very precise knowledge of his role.
· Prepare the study base (surveys on site, existing plans) and carry out layout
· Draft, develop and coordinate the layout of 2D / 3D plans (Lay-Out) by distributing potentially part of the work to the Designers (internal/external) participating in the project.
· Carry-out, develop and coordinate the design studies of the new building (civil works, steel structures, ….), equipment installation
· Carry-out, develop and coordinate the piping studies (3D piping routing, isometrics, valves lists ….)
· Carry-out and coordinate the bid packages for building, equipment and different construction packages and monitor developments with our external service providers (vendors, contractors)
· Coordinate and verify the execution studies of Vendors and external contractors
· Coordinate the construction of the new installation with Vendors and Contractors up to the commissioning and performance test
· Distribute and supervise the designers/drafters work (internal/external) and external suppliers working on the project
What You Have:
Education :
· Bachelors of Science in an Engineering Discipline.
Experience:
· 2-5 years of experience
· Project Engineering experience with project budget >$1M
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not directly manage employees.
Work Environment
This job spends approximately 50% of the time in an office environment and 50% of the time in the Plant environment
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments. Employee must be able to wear a respirator.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet facility demands.
Business Trips (Percentage):
Travel out of the area will be required when working on projects at other US manufacturing plants. Occasional international travel may be expected.
