Job Description

We are looking for interns to support our R&D activities in either one of the 2 major areas – Pharmaceuticals (small molecule drugs), and Biopharmaceuticals (large molecules/protein therapeutics).

The primary responsibility of this role is to support R&D activities in pharmaceutical / biopharmaceutical product development.

The candidate will undertake the following with the partnership and guidance of Roquette scientists.

·  Design and develop innovative science-based solutions to the most pressing issues in current pharmaceutical / biopharmaceutical products
·  Conduct formulation, process and/or analytical development experiments based on a predefined DOE (Design of Experiment)
·  Execute experiments in the pharmaceutical laboratory involving formulation, processing and analysis of small molecule pharmaceuticals or nutraceuticals, OR the biopharmaceutical laboratory involving upstream processing and downstream processing with biopharmaceutical analysis
·  Operate the state-of-the-art pharma manufacturing and/or analytical instruments
·  Collect, analyze, interpret and report data and experimental findings
·  Work within cross-functional project teams
·  Provide general laboratory and administrative support to ensure Center’s operational efficiency

Training Provided

·  Pharmaceutical / biopharmaceutical processes, and raw materials/product characterization and analysis. The intern will be assigned to only one of the teams (either Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical).
·  Creating basic DOE for product formulation, process and/or analytical optimization
·  Troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance of experimental apparatus / equipment 
·  Understanding of requirements for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical laboratories operations
·  Exposure to inventory maintenance, safety audits and maintenance and general upkeep of the laboratories
·  General understanding and appreciation of corporate team culture and dynamics
·  Only Application to Singapore PR/Citizen/Valid Student Pass
