Job Description

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The incumbent will drive alignment & implementation of Global/Area Supply Chain strategies, processes & policies at local level while maintaining strong alignment with other functions and area/global teams. This will help gain insights into their needs, as well as general market requirements for effective performance of the function on safety, security, quality, compliance, service at the most effective cost. S/he will double hat as India Supply Chain Head and will have functional responsibility for the pillars of Supply Chain (Logistics, Planning, Purchasing and Packaging).

The incumbent is expected to build a solid and sustainable supply chain organization that can meet the evolving business needs of today and the future.

Key accountabilities:

Efficient and Effective Operations and Strategy

·  Create and drive the annual budget plan and strategy for India supply chain team – objectives, goals, strategies and measures
·  Ensure the implementation of the global and Greater Asia supply chain strategy, processes and policies to optimize supply chain operations
·  Ensure operational in-process metrics targets are met (productivity, OTIF, inventory on hand, cost savings, planning accuracy and quality,) – regularly review the same to ensure alignment with desired business outcomes
·  Develop India SC road map and transition plan to transform supply chain into a trusted adviser and key/strategic pillar to support India growth agenda.
·  Review periodically the SC infrastructure requirement to support the growing business needs and develop business case to secure capital expenditure/funding to invest in supporting the capacity expansion

Continuous Improvement and Transformation

·  Evaluation and implementation of supply chain best practices across planning, procurement and logistics - and create actionable deliverables
·  Logistics and transportation – conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking, exploring new industry leading practices to drive innovation and improvement and deliver best practice logistics model to enhance customer service and optimize the logistic cost to serve
·  Review the existing planning and fulfillment flows and develop a more robust integrated \'plan\' to \'deliver\' flows to achieve higher customer satisfaction, OTIF, MPS/plan adherence while optimizing plant capacity utilization
·  Purchasing – provide support to Head of Raw Material Purchase and Head Industrial purchase in driving purchasing transformation (an integral part of Parivartan – India turnaround initiative)
·  Organizational transformation –in consultation with various Head of India Supply Chain pillars (purchasing, logistics and planning), develop strategy and plan to restructure, transform and evolve the India supply chain organization
·  Maintain strong focus on operational excellence and transformation to enhance productivity levels and cost improvement
·  Partner with global and regional supply chain leadership to drive standardization of processes across all business units and geographies

Stakeholder Relationship Management

·  Must be able to gain respect, trust and influence key India SC pillar leaders (Head Purchasing, Head Logistic, Head Planning) through his actions and demonstrating true leadership
·  Understand the global and matrix organization and inter-linkages between various teams – be able to influence multiple decision makers to achieve the desire outcomes
·  Ensure collaboration at executive levels with business units and functional partners like commercial, sales and marketing, manufacturing, and finance HR and Legal

Talent Management

·  Strategically partner with hiring team to ensure right talent is brought into the team
·  Partner with India SC pillar heads (purchasing, Logistics and planning) and HR business partners to identify key talents and critical roles and then develop talent to enable effective succession planning within team – focus on diversity while building talent
·  Maintain high levels of employee engagement – ensure camaraderie and team spirit Ensure compliance with Roquettes HR practices and policies (Compensation and Benefits, Annual Appraisals, Promotions, People and Org Reviews etc.)

Compliance and Budget

·  Ensure compliance with company financial controls
·  Track and monitor discretionary and non-discretionary spends to meet budget numbers
·  Be accountable to ensure the compliance with regulation (safety rules, quality, food and pharma safety), and the implementation of action plans (quality, customers, customs, insurances, etc)

Must Have:

·  Must have over 18 years of relevant post qualification experience in Supply Chain, of which the most recent 3+ years should have been in leading the entire function in a business / division of a marquee MNC manufacturing organization in the FMCG, nutrition, pharmaceutical, Active Pharma Ingredients (API), chemical industry
·  Should have deep functional expertise and diversified supply chain experience in Procurement, Demand & Supply Planning, S&OP, Inventory Management, Analytics, Logistics, Transportation & Warehousing amongst others demonstrated by positively impacting gross margins and productivity
·  Must have led a transformational role in streamlining and optimizing systems and processes and managing change in an environment where excellence is the norm
·  Should have worked in a dynamic multi-cultural matrix organization, collaborating with multiple stakeholders and other business functions
