Job description

Thank you for your interest in submitting a referral for our Genentech Summer Intern Program. In 2015, Genentech University Talent Acquisition and Strategy (UTAS) received over 30,000 applications for our Intern Program. We look forward to your recommendation for a talented and qualified potential summer Intern!

In order to properly screen Intern referrals from Genentech employees, the UTAS team has established the following process:

Timeline:

Referrals for the Summer Intern Program should be submitted between December 1st,2015and February 29th, 2016

Submitting a Referral

· The referring Genentech employee must submit a resume to the Summer Internship Referral requisition using the internal job posting site. ( http://rochenet.roche.com/hr-ts-job_opportunities-genentech-search.html)
· Search by title Summer Internship Referral or 00443633.
· Click Refer a Friend Button and follow the instructions and make sure to upload the resume.
· Due to the high volume of referrals we receive, we will not be accepting referrals via email.

Process:

· University Talent Acquisition team presents qualified Intern referrals to the appropriate hiring manager(s) for consideration
· Hiring managers will review the pool of referred candidates, making the decision based on their needs, who they will proceed with interviewing.
· Hiring managers will interview and make their decisions.
· UTAS recommends Summer Intern hiring decisions are made by March 31, 2016.

Please note: The UTAS team highlights and recommends referrals to the hiring manager, but we cannot guarantee that the referral will be hired. Intern/Co-op openings are not managed centrally; therefore candidates will only be contacted if they meet the qualifications and the hiring manager is interested in their application.

For Your Information:

· Interns & Co-op positions are not eligible for Amazing Discoveries award payouts.
· The referring employee will receive confirmation from the system that their referral has been made.
· The UTAS team does not place Interns in summer housing; however, we make recommendations and provide helpful resources for our Interns to identify the best housing option.
