The Summer @ Roche Intern Program has been developed to provide students with a fun yet rewarding summer through hands-on experience and numerous opportunities to network with other interns as well as employees in the organization. Additionally, we help our students meet their career development and educational goals while potentially building a future with the Roche organization. Leveraging the education you received already, we hope to give you an opportunity to grow and develop with us!
· Update the Global Surveillance Program marketing material & medical education messaging
· Define what is required from a business, medical affairs and research perspective
· Identify gaps and hurdles in the current program and how to address those
· What information the program provides vs. what information the program does not provide will be assessed by the intern and then reviewed by the stakeholders.
· The intern will prepare updates to the website, medical education plan and a training program for the affiliates
· Prepare a strategic communication plan including a WebEx and poster that could be presented to customers and affiliates.
· Use Virology as a role model and time permitting we will add Microbiology products
Additionally, the selected intern will be asked to participate in various intern activities, which may include workshops with leaders in the organization, our mentor program, and our Poster Symposium among other activities.

· Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, cell biology or related and pursuing a master's degree in Business and Marketing or advanced medical degree.
· Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Program Requirements:
· Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university during program calendar year 2018
· Completed at least 2 years of college/university to be eligible for the program.
· Must have a ≥3.0 GPA
· Minimum availability of 12 weeks (Required start on or before program Welcome Reception and end date on or after Summer End Poser Symposium).
· Previous experience in the job duties listed, either through course work or industry/academia
· Participation in student organizations and/or other leadership experience

· Understand how the three functions (Business, Medical Affairs and Research) work together in diagnostics industry to:
· Support our on-market products
· Design a message to communicate to the customers
· Working on a real world scenario in the area of Virology and Microbiology
· Understand challenges and opportunities within molecular diagnostics
· Get insights and better understanding how to work in a global environment
