Roche Glycart AG, located in Schlieren/Zurich is a 100 % affiliate of Roche Pharmaceuticals, is active in the research, development and commercialization of new potent antibody-based products for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune disease. As an Intern in our team, the Process Biochemistry group, you will become part of a young and highly motivated team of 6 people devoted to the purification and biochemical characterization of antibodies and other recombinant proteins. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest state of the art laboratory and analytical equipment as well as with new technologies.

During the internship your main tasks will include:

·  purifications of antibodies and recombinant proteins with different techniques for in vitro and in vivo use
·  Presentation of results in department group meetings
·  Quality control by HPLC and CE-SDS analyses of the produced proteins
·  Involvement in the continuous improvement of the DSP and in-process control processes
·  Storage and sample logistics

We are looking for a dedicated Bachelor or Master Student in the area of biochemistry, biotechnology, biology or Pharmacy. You are highly motivated, interested in a purpose- and people-driven and multinational environment and you have already gained some laboratory experience.

Moreover you have/are

·  An enthusiastic and scientifically interested person who enjoys teamwork and has a strong willingness to learn new techniques.
·  Fluent in English and/or German
·  Excellent organizational skills and a pro-active knowledge sharing

Please note that you have to be enrolled in university during the half of internship period.

The Internship can start between October and November 2018 for a period of 6 months - please clearly indicate your preferred starting date in your cover letter. Applications need to include a CV and a motivation letter.

Due to regulations non-EU/EFTA citizens have to provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory as part of the application documents.
