We are looking for a motivated Student (Bachelor or Master level) to join our team at Roche Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED), Pharmaceutical Sciences. We are a group of Genetic & Genomic experts working in close collaboration with different functions to support discovery research (targets, mode of action), pre-clinical safety studies (toxicology, off-targets, mode of action), as well as biomarker analysis in early phase clinical trials and across all disease areas. Our expertise is focused on DNA and RNA derived investigations using state of the art technologies (next generation sequencing, single cell gene expression, spatial transcriptomics, qPCR and more).

In this position, you will:

· 
join a team of skilled and passionated scientists with expertise in Genetics and Genomics

· 
support portfolio relevant activities and contribute to development, testing and implementation of novel methods.

· 
under the guidance of a mentor, own several research projects, be responsible to design and conduct experiments, analyse and report results to different audiences

· 
have the opportunity to gain insights and contribute to drug development research, refine your experience of different sequencing and qRT-PCR technologies

Who you are:

You are an ambitious student who is currently enrolled in molecular life sciences, biochemistry, or similar studies with already hands-on experience in various molecular biology techniques and analysis.

Moreover, you are:

· 
experienced in standard molecular biology techniques and in either sequencing technology

· 
skilled in computational biology and programming (eg R, Python)

· 
a quick and independent learner with a high level of initiative as well as a dedicated attitude

· 
a proactive and transparent team worker with strong communication skills

· 
proficient in English
