Sr Operational Excellence Engineer

1) Purpose:

Deploys and sustains Lean Production System (LPS), builds Capability in Operational Excellence (e.g. Lean Six Sigma), supports and leads Focused Improvement projects and initiatives and oversees Business Process Management.

2) Key Responsibilities:

● Supports LPS deployment and maturity
● Supports and leads focused improvement and optimization projects/initiatives covering Safety, Quality, Delivery, Engagement and Cost (SQDEC).
● Conducts training in continuous improvement methodologies and mentors others in the application of theses methods
● Facilitates/assists business process management and the teams supporting continuous improvement
● Supports all site functions/areas in problem solving and continuous improvement
● Contributes to/Drives business process management and helps to ensure sites have installed and are effectively practicing business processes

3) Qualifications (education/experience/knowledge/skills/competencies)

1. Education:
■ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
2. Experience:
■ 5 years professional experience (e.g. manufacturing, quality, materials management), depending on hiring level
■ Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement programs with quantifiable business results, depending on hiring level
3. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
■ Excellent collaborator with cross-functional customers and network partners
■ Fosters a culture of continuous improvement
■ Advanced facilitation skills and change agent abilities, with the ability to lead people indirectly and through influence
■ Deep analytical and problem solving skills and advanced level knowledge of Root Cause Analysis
■ Remains current on industries process improvement methodologies and implements best practices to drive business performance
■ Ability to lead people indirectly and through influence
