As the Sourcing Specialist you will be responsible for the execution of low to medium complexity projects, of varying values related to operational procurement activitiesfor business prompted, and in some cases procurement driven sourcing requests for cGMP direct materials within a specific region or site and for ensuring maximum possible Procurement impact and savings realization.

In addition, as a team member in the Direct Materials team, you will have knowledge of pharma or biotech manufacturing, and the overall sourcing process/methodology, such as documenting requirements, conducting analysis and negotiations, eSourcing tools and communicating with stakeholders and suppliers. The successful candidate will have an understanding of internal manufacturing and direct materials supplier sourcing characteristics, stakeholder functions and spend characteristics, and is able to translate business needs into sourcing requirements.

Job Accountabilities:

1. Operational Sourcing Activities

·  Conduct Direct Materials sourcing activities at various spend levels. Execute low to medium complexity operational sourcing requests for the US based Biologics Drug Substances sites.
·  Support a cross-functional sourcing team aligned to the appropriate global/regional or local category strategy to develop and implement optimal total-cost-of-ownership sourcing solutions and strategies that address supply business requirements, within prescribed timelines.
·  Maintain communication within the Procurement network
·  Apply the sourcing process for the delivery of operational sourcing activity, incl. the application of eSourcing tools. Support the implementation of new processes, policies, and technologies including creation of required documentation.
·  Collaborate with Transactional / Requisition to Pay Procurement - Collaborate on a day-to-day basis with the requisition to pay (R2P) Procurement team (SSC) to ensure that the requisitioning component of the procurement process is delivered.
·  Support CSR initiatives related to (candidate) suppliers, e.g. supplier diversity, anti-bribery, animal welfare, etc.
·  Track and monitor Procurement operational targets and metrics where required and escalate issues as they arise.

2. Business Partnering, Category and Procurement Activities

·  Deliver Category Strategy execution and deliver certain strategic (sourcing) projects
·  Manage execution of low to medium-complexity, various spend levels, local or regional projects as agreed with Category Management team
·  Conduct operational Business Partnering with specific stakeholders within the region and in alignment with the Global Category and Supplier Management teams
·  Act as a point of contact for Procurement topics for manufacturing and technical operations stakeholders
·  Guide project teams in identification and resolution of day to day supply issue resolution and change management

Deliver Operational Procurement execution and procurement support for business requirements

·  Support as necessary MRP transactional issues with suppliers

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Qualifications and Experience:

·  Completion of University degree, with business related degree preferable
·  1-3 years operational end-to-end procurement experience including Sourcing, Supplier Management and Transactional Procurement
·  1-3 years business experience including knowledge of the manufacturing business, markets and industry
·  Experience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs
·  Good communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind
·  High degree of customer focus for both internal and external customers and proven ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships
·  Able to work in a fast paced environment with aggressive timelines
·  Knowledgeable in systems and processes for efficient management of contract documentation, templates and processing tools (e.g. eSourcing, eAuction)
·  Experience or knowledge of Centre of Excellence or Shared Services operating environments
