Role: Senior Quality Metrics & Reporting Manager

Function: Global Quality Services (PTQ)

Location: Mississauga, Canada

Purpose:

The Metrics & Reporting Manager leads complex cross-functional process improvement projects to enable Quality Metrics, Management Review and Knowledge Management business needs. This includes business process and metric design, optimization, analysis and reporting to enable the routine delivery of exceptional performance.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for global quality metrics development and reporting for PTQ.

You will be responsible for mentoring key Quality process improvement projects, represents the department as a change agent, partneris with customers, leads internal efforts within the team to build capability and collaboration skills, communicates /coordinates/bringings together key stakeholders, resolves conflicts within the team, and delivers real value-add sustainable solutions.

You will be accountable for application of proven Lean Six Sigma and Business Process Management methodologies. The work will be done in alignment with Roche values and behaviors.

Requirements:

Lead and support Metric efforts:

● Lead complex cross-functional process improvement teams and projects to enable and improve Quality Metrics, Management Review and Knowledge Management

● Partner with key stakeholders and customers to assess and address metric opportunities to deliver real value-add and sustainable solutions

● Maintain global operational metric reports by collecting, consolidating, and displaying data for stakeholders and senior management

● Lead internal efforts to build metric reporting and analytics capabilities to produce better business outcomes.

● Evaluate business process performance, identifies opportunities and partner with the business to develop strategies to maximize performance

Analyze business, process and systems performance, and identify improvement opportunities

● Possess business knowledge and expertise to effectively partner with stakeholders to ensure data and analysis provided is fit for purpose

● Ability to provide the context and story in the interpretation of the data

● Ability to comprehend business processes so metrics and data reported reported adds value and is meaningful to the business

● Possess a deep quality system and process knowledge to allow for agile dashboard development

● Ability to identify data reporting issues and perform quality checks to support data integrity and data accuracy

● Analyze system data proactively to identify bottleneck, trends and compliance risks

● Improve digitization of metric reports and support efforts to enable real time reporting

● Apply lean six sigma and business process management methodologies.

● Make recommendations to Management based on business case and analyses

● Communicate proactively with stakeholders and senior management regarding progress, issues and plans for resolution

● Develop and use project plans to coordinate participants to track and report progress

● Leverage industry research and analysis

● Ensure improvement methodology and tools are utilized effectively to maximize benefits

● Operate with a high degree of autonomy and professionalism; successfully prioritize workload in accordance with business goals

● Act as a change agent to deliver business results

● Develop customer requirements into an approved project charter and process documentation

● Quality - Is customer focused. Able to employ quality improvement methodologies (Deming, Juran, Crosby) as appropriate to the situation. Uses quantitative approach (SPC, Six Sigma, Lean/DMAIC, etc.).

● Outstanding matrix leadership skills and ability to work in a virtual remote global setting, making best use of modern communication techniques

● Influence - ability to influence with or without authority, facilitate groups with diverse perspectives, bring teams to consensus/alignment. High tolerance for ambiguity, able to create order from chaos. Leverage Team Lead support when necessary.

Job Qualifications:

Education

● Science or Engineering BS / BA required, MS, MBA or 5-7 years of business/operations experience

Industry/Business Experience

● Advanced proficiency in data visualization software (e.g. Tableau) and analytics tools that could be applied to quality and compliance system data

● Certified/Expertise in proven methodologies such as: LEAN / Six Sigma / Change Management/ Risk Management/ Agile

● Minimum of 3 years of project management experience required, managing a range of small (<3months) and large (>12months) projects.

● Minimum 5 years of related analytical, business and operational experience in Quality/Supply Chain Management /Manufacturing / Engineering or Process Development.

● Sound knowledge of cGMPs and equivalent industry regulations

● Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.

● Strong interpersonal skills with proven high-level influencing and negotiation skills as well as excellent skills at building and maintaining constructive and effective relationships within your team, with internal and external stakeholders as well as in matrix organizations

● Ability to interpret and relate Quality standards for implementation and review
