Senior Automation Tester

We are looking for an Senior Automation Tester to join one of our teams in Roche Polska within the Roche Informatics division.

Your key responsibilities:
Ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automated testing.
Collaborating with cross-functional agile teams to design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
Utilizing expertise in automation tools, frameworks, and best practices to contribute to the overall software development lifecycle.
Leading the design and development of scalable and maintainable automation test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks.
Working closely with the business and development team to understand software requirements, identify test scenarios, and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Continuously improving and optimizing existing automation frameworks and test suites, leveraging knowledge of emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the automation testing field.
Enhancing testing coverage and efficiency across the organization.
Mentoring and providing guidance to junior members of the automation testing team.
Directly impacting the reliability and performance of our software products.
Your qualifications and experience:
Significant background in automation testing demonstrated by expertise in developing and executing automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, TestNG, or JUnit.
Practical knowledge of programming in at least one programming language (Python or Java preferred). Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Ruby is a must.
Proven experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
In-depth knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience with testing web applications across multiple browsers and platforms.
Familiarity with API testing and test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., REST Assured, Postman). Experience with testing microservices and knowledge of API design principles (REST, SOAP) is highly desirable.
Experience with database testing and proficiency in SQL for data validation and manipulation.
Ability to analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Proven track record of identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using defect-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and agile practices (Scrum preferred).
Strong understanding of test automation best practices, design patterns, and maintainable automation frameworks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
We will also appreciate:
ISTQB or other relevant certifications in software testing.
Experience with performance testing concepts and tools
Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., AWS Device Farm, Sauce Labs) and virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of security testing concepts and tools
Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
Basic knowledge of business analysis-related ideas and notions

Salary range 17 000 - 28 000 PLN gross based on the employment contract (Umowa o pracę),
