  • Basel (Basel-Stadt)

Job description

  Job facts

As postdoctoral fellow located at the Roche Innovation Center Basel, Switzerland, you will be driving a project in the discovery and translational area (DTA) of Oncology at the department of Molecular Targeted Therapy (MTT) in collaboration with the Large Molecule Research (LMR) department at the Roche Innovation Center Munich, Germany. The aim of this project is to investigate in depth the effect of Targeted Protein Degradation on protein expression and antigen presentation in specific cell types and explore possibilities of immunotherapeutic intervention. The studies will be focused on oncology-relevant targets and will require deep integration and collaboration with proteomics, bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry colleagues as well as protein engineers. You will exploit potential novel immuno-oncological approaches to target malignant cells in collaboration with Large Molecule Research (LMR) colleagues. Additionally, you will:

·  Plan, perform, and interpret experiments independently to drive the project efficiently
·  Develop and optimize methods to test “degrader” molecules in the cellular context
·  Lead through proteomic and mass spectrometry-based methods screening efforts
·  Collaborate closely with colleagues inside and outside the DTA and in particular with Bioinformatics, Proteomics and Medicinal Chemistry colleagues for data mining and screening deconvolution
·  Generate and interrogate cell-based models on mechanisms of resistance
·  Write procedures, reports, publications and other documents
·  Present experimental design and results internally and externally

This position is sponsored by the Roche Postdoctoral Fellowship Program and is initially limited to two years; a third year prolongation is possible.
