Desired profile

Who you are

You're someone who wants to influence your own development. You're looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.

We are looking for a self-driven research associate, preferentially with a bachelor or master degree working in the field of neuroscience/immunology. The position involves work with rodent models of disease. You should be capable of handling rodents during clinical/behavior scoring, employing biochemical methods, carefully collecting rodent tissue and processing this and human tissue for further analysis. You have experience with in vivo work, as well as an understanding of conventional and evolving technologies in light microscopy, especially solid knowledge in preparing cell and tissue samples for microscopical analysis and in software tools for image processing.

As a successful candidate you will bring as well the following:

·  You have a certificate for animal experimentation (Swiss LTK1 or equivalent).
·  You are skilled in sample preparation techniques
·  You have proficient expertise in methods of contemporary light microscopy (confocal microscopy and scanners) and image processing, including data analysis
·  You are experienced with advanced methods in image analysis, like Imaris, Definiens or other image analysis tools
·  You have solid background in neurobiology, cell biology and biochemistry.
·  Fluent in English speaking, reading and writing; mastering spoken and written German language is a plus but not a must.
·

Make every future a success.
