Job Summary :
The job holder ensures to meet / perform

working structure is defined and roles and responsibilities of co-workers are assigned; personnel is being recruited and developed accordingly.

a full compliance regarding quality, safety, and environmental regulations in the area of responsibility;

infrastructure (lab, office space, instrumentation) matches the tasks of the lab;
·
ensure a GLP as well as regulatory guidelines compliant R&D work in the area of clinical chemistry, turbidimetric and nephelometric IVD assays;
·
projects are running as planned in accordance with the correspondent governance structure (global R&D and Life Cycle Teams);
Main Tasks & Responsibilities :
·
Take over the responsibility in development, application testing, product care for IVD assays, with a strong focus on clinical chemistry and turbidimetric/nephelometric assays;
·
Plays a fundamental role in the setup of GLP compliant documentation system as well as in the compliance of development tasks with the regulatory guidelines .
Plan resources, assign roles; train and develop personnel according to valid regulations;
·
Organize infrastructure (space and equipment) in compliance with safety and environmental regulations;
·
Staff projects according to priorities and requirements as discussed and agreed upon with the governance structure (global R&D and Life Cycle Teams);
·
Ensure strong interfaces to all group leaders within the department as well to other involved units (e.g. other R&D units, manufacturing, quality, regulatory) and external partners
·
Interaction and communication to all relevant interfaces and local and global functions and teams; Acts as an interaction partner for other R&D unit of CPS organization, business development, marketing, case resolution units in his/her area of responsibility;

Provide leadership and support for direct reports in order to optimize their capability to successfully contribute to project deliverables.
·
Optimize processes in order to improve efficiency, effectiveness and quality of project work;
·
Plan and monitor budgets;

Basic Requirements of the Job :
Education & Qualifications :

PhD in natural sciences, preferably in biology, biochemistry, clinical chemistry or related subjects
Experience :
·
3-5 years of experience in the clinical laboratory testing and/or development of IVD assays;
·
A solid knowledge of GLP documentation and/or regulatory guidelines is beneficial;
·
Leadership experience in an R&D or clinical laboratory setting
Language skills
·
Native or professional Chinese, oral and written
·
Business fluency in English, oral and written
