Roche Diagnostics in Midrand is seeking a Purchasing Officer to process purchasing requisitions in line with Global and Local SOPs and requirements and within the agreed purchasing schedule so as to ensure that the required inventory holding is available to meet customer orders and internal customer non-stock related purchase requisition are fulfilled. The role will entail:

Purchasing Management and Administration for RDC

Procure all relevant inventory in line with the relevant SOP requirements and within the agreed purchasing schedule by:

·  Releasing purchase requisition within required purchasing deadlines into the ERP Procurement system to create a purchase order automatically.
·  Checking order confirmation against purchase order for accuracy and make relevant order amendments and authorize release.
·  Advising product manager / customer services of order amendments.
·  Tracking of order status for internal customers against shipping schedule and advise accordingly.
·  Loading GRN details into the ERP warehouse inventory system.
·  Processing of inventory deviations and claims for inventory received being damaged, short-received or over-received.
·  Maintain and update the MRP classifications in line with SOPs.

You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

·  Required Qualification: National Certificate or National Diploma in Procurement/Logistics /Management or related qualification (NQF level 5 and above).
·  Required Experience: At least 3 years logistics/supply chain (SC) experience with focus on procurement.
·  SAP Purchasing & Inventory module and Excel experience are a must.
·  Experience in imports procurement processes and related ERP systems.
