The Position

Mission/Objective

The societal goal for the Roche Corporate Donation and Philanthropy is to create a positive impact in our communities where we live, operate and beyond. An emphasis is placed on projects that make a difference through innovation, collaboration, quality and sustainability. The CDP Arts & Culture manager is responsible for the management of all philanthropic activities in the area of arts and culture.

Main responsibilities:

Arts & Culture portfolio

  • Managing all philanthropic projects in the area of Arts & Culture (Roche Continents, Roche Commissions and Young Commissions, Culturescapes)

  • Manage regular project updates with related stakeholders internally and externally, including partner organizations (e.g. Lucerne Festival, LUMA Arles, Culturescapes)

  • Share project updates with the CDP team on a regular basis

  • Provide input and develop content as needed for communication purposes aligned with the overall CDP goals

  • Contribute to the CDP impact reporting, CDP annual overview, provide content for social media and roche.com

  • Contribute to an effective and collaborative global team and contribute to various projects in collaboration with team members 

  • Contribute to reporting processes and impact measurement in alignment with CDP Ops 

Who you are:

  • Work experience in managing Arts & Culture projects (e.g. with cultural festivals) is a plus as well as knowledge about philanthropy and corporate sustainability. Experience in working in a multinational environment,  (2-5 years of relevant experience) is a must.

  • Qualifications: University degree or equivalent. Arts and culture education and events management in the arts and culture communities. Non-Governmental Organization management, international development, communications, or a related field

  • You bring strong English, and German language skills, both oral and written, any other additional language is a plus but a requirement

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and present information and ideas to various audiences and stakeholders in a way that demonstrates subject-matter knowledge, confidence and facilitates comprehension and inspiration

  • You can liaise with a wide range of people with credibility, tact, and diplomacy and you understand and commit to the missions of Corporate Donations & Philanthropy and you demonstrate the highest levels of integrity with a strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality. Additionally, you can work alone and with teams to achieve the purpose of the projects
