Roche Diagnostics acquired Stratos Genomics (SBX Nanopore Sequencing) in 2020 for its novel Sequencing by eXpansion (SBX™) technology. SBX™ uses unique applications from chemistry, biochemistry, and protein engineering to sequence DNA by nanopore in rapid time with high accuracy and low cost. We are looking for people who are excited to collaborate with us to make SBX successful.
You will join the SBX Production team and play a crucial role in meeting SBX production goals. If you have a passion for precision and a commitment to quality, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
Produce high quality production reagents and kit components validated by QC.
Routinely execute work with a high level of attention to detail, meticulousness, and diligence.
Learn and execute SOPs, take detailed notes, and maintain thorough batch records.
Assist in the development and implementation of new production processes and creation of new SOPs.
Demonstrate solid time management and routinely meet deadlines set forth by management.
Work to improve, scale up, and optimize current production processes.
Maintain inventory levels and validate raw materials.
Interpret data to assess functional QCs.
Maintain a clean and organized personal and communal lab space.
Adhere to Roche Diagnostics Seattle policies and supports management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.
What you’re known for:
Demonstrated ability to accurately, precisely, and reliably perform job duties and assigned tasks.
Experience with recording and maintaining thorough batch records.
Experience executing basic laboratory skills (e.g. pipetting, sterile technique, solution preparation)
Experience working with common laboratory equipment (e.g. speed vacs, centrifuges, pH meters, balances)
Mature understanding of how to work with chemical and biochemical samples, including sample handling and preparation, reactivity, and storage.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and management.
Ability to retain a flexible mindset and adapt readily to changes in processes or objectives.
Commitment to self driven learning. A desire for a deeper understanding of the production processes and their downstream impact.
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
Who you are:
BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field
1-2 years related experience, prefer 3-4 years
Relocation benefits are not offered for this role. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Seattle, WA is $52,300 and $97,100. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
