The Position
Job Summary:
As a Principal Product Release Consultant, you will be a key member of an agile digital platform & product development team in the context of the CEC China Strategy. You will be part of a high performance software engineering team that will be building a high quality & world class digital healthcare platform, products, integrated solutions and ecosystem building.
The product release management process goes beyond just software development & deployment into production, it consists of a broader range of activities to get the products to market & delivering value to our customers/partners. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and managing all activities related to the releases of our digital platform & products to ensure timely delivery with high quality.
You will need to work closely within the digital development team as well as cross-departmental teams to coordinate between phases, seek alignments, manage release schedules, risks and deliver accordingly to GxP requirements.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing complex release cycles in a regulated environment.
You will:
Product Release Enablement
Track & monitor each product budget plan & actuals
Product launch planning & go-to-market support activities
Organize & facilitate digital seminar/conference/event to boost customers/partners awareness & co-creation
Effective account management by establishing cordial relationships with business owners/customers/partners
Manage Value Flow
Coordinate, plan and develop the digital product release schedule, considering dependencies, resource availability, and regulatory requirements.
Track and drive all planned release activities.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, development, testing, DevOps, and product management, to ensure smooth and efficient release delivery.
Facilitate communication and alignment among teams to ensure on-time delivery of releases with high quality.
Coordinate GxP required processes, including deliverables follow-up, scheduling and hosting review meetings, and ensuring timely completion of action items.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement release management best practices and standard operating procedures.
Continuously identify release management processes improvements and leverage on tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Conduct post-release reviews and retrospectives, gathering feedback from stakeholders and teams to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learnt.
Risk Management
Help manage risks and dependencies
Feel and be accountable for the software deliverables, escalate delays and issues and provide mitigation plans to address them.
Facilitate Collaboration
Collaborate with distributed teams (Between different sites in China)
Coordinate and lead release planning meetings, involving all relevant teams to gather input, define release scope, and establish timelines.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication, knowledge sharing, and teamwork among all stakeholders.
You are:
A Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field) is required.
Proven experience as a Release manager or Program/project manager in the software/healthcare industry (preferably 3-4 years).
Experience with stakeholders & account management.
Experience with software budget planning, forecasting and actuals.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional & non-digital teams.(both Chinese and English).
Strong communication skills (both Chinese and English).
Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple releases simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes in a regulated environment is a plus.
Experience with GxP required processes and compliance in the life sciences or healthcare industry is a plus.
Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work well with senior leadership.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
