The Position

In the role of Principal Engineer, you are responsible to motivate and lead a highly diverse team always with the goal to get to solutions in the most efficient and lean way.

You will be responsible for:

· 
Line management of a team (5 to 10 team members)

· 
Building and maintaining the team skills, both in expertise as well as technical project leadership

· 
Leading of product care projects

The advertised position offers:

Working in an interdisciplinary environment with experts from various disciplines

· 
A leadership function aiming at deploying the team's capabilities in various product care projects across the board from SW, HW, consumables to generic reagents projects

You have a Master degree or similar (preferably in Engineering / Information Technology, Process Engineering, Biotechnology or equivalent professional experience) and several years of work experience in the area of medical technology in either product support or Medical Device Research & Development or equivalent experience.

Feel comfortable being under pressure and with high visibility towards senior management and at the same time being able of highly collaborative teamwork with great doses of trust and respect towards your peers when planning project needs

Able to work on multiple projects at the same time, and deal with priority changes in a high-paced work environment (ability to define timelines and resource needs)

· 
High technical orientation, ability to learn new & complex systems and technologies quickly (critical thinking - reasoning abilities, analyze, assess and improve)

· 
Able to reach out and interact with multiple interfaces and stakeholders (Regulatory, Operations, Quality, etc.) to drive changes

· 
Strong customer orientation drive and communication skills as well as knowledge regarding regulatory requirements and quality practices

· 
Good general IT knowledge, interest in Software applications and programming (e.g. Excel, VBA). Experience with statistical analysis SW (e.g. JMP, Minitab) and DOE

· 
Ability to work independently as well as in a team with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor (troubleshooting & problem solving open mindset)

· 
Good presentation and excellent communication skills in English, knowledge of German advantageous
