The Position

Wer wir sind:

Unser Team gehört zum Chapter “Documentation & Tools Management”. Als zentrale Funktion für die globale Forschung und Entwicklung in der Division Diagnostik leiten wir die Initiative “Digital Lab @ RDS”. Hierbei steht die Implementierung digitaler Lösungen im Fokus, die alle Mitarbeiter im Bereich R&D in ihren täglichen Arbeiten unterstützen sollen - ganz nach dem Motto “More Time for Science”. Ganz konkret befassen wir uns u. A. mit den Themen elektronische Geräte- und Materialverwaltung sowie papierlose Dokumentation.

Dein Praktikum:

Im Rahmen des Praktikums unterstützt Du die Einführung der Software für die Verwaltung von Laborgeräten. Das betrifft insbesondere die Vorbereitung der Datensätze für den Upload. Hierbei arbeitest Du im interdisziplinären Team eng mit den Kollegen aus den Fachbereichen / Laboren überwiegend am Standort Penzberg zusammen.

Diese spannenden Aufgaben erwarten Dich:

• Du arbeitest im Team an der Bereinigung von Equipment bezogenen Attributen, wie z. B. Gerätetyp, Hersteller, Seriennr., in den bestehenden Listen

• Um Datenqualität zu gewährleisten, folgst Du hierbei aus Erfahrungswerten generiertem Vorgehen, Verbesserungs-/Optimierungsvorschläge sind hier herzlich willkommen!

• Du identifizierst “Mismatches” und arbeitest gemeinsam mit den Fachbereichen an deren Korrektur bzw. Lösungsansätzen für den Umgang damit

• Du bist dafür zuständig, dass am Ende die Datenfiles “upload-ready” sind

• Du führst idealerweise den Datenimport in die Geräteverwaltungssoftware eigenständig durch

Dein Profil:

• Die Arbeit mit komplexen, umfassenden Datensätzen macht Dir Spaß

• Du verfügst über exzellente Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Excel und/oder Google Sheets

• Du befindest Dich im Bachelor-/Masterstudiengang z. B. in Informatik, Mathematik, Naturwissenschaften o. Ä. und bist eingeschrieben

• Du empfindest viel Freude in der Zusammenarbeit mit anderen

• Du hast sehr gute Englischkenntnisse, um Dich auch mit unseren internationalen Projektpartnern abstimmen zu können

Who we are:

Our team belongs to the Chapter “Documentation & Tools Management”. As central function for the global Research and Development Organization within the Diagnostics Division we lead the initiative “Digital Lab @ RDS”. Hereby, our focus is the implementation of digital solutions that support all our people in R&D in their daily work - following our motto “More Time for Science”. In particular, we are dealing with digital solutions like electronic equipment and materials management as well as paperless documentation.

Your Internship:

During your internship you will support the implementation/rollout of our Lab-Equipment-Repository system. In particular, you will help prepare and clean the data sets so that those are ready for upload. You will be part of the interdisciplinary team and work closely together with the colleagues from the R&D teams on the Penzberg Site.

• You work together with the Team on cleaning Lab Equipment related attributes within existing lists

• In order to ensure data quality you are following our generated process based on our experience, if you see potential for improvements / optimizations you are highly welcome to implement those!

• You identify mismatches and work together with the technology areas on cleaning those or solution concepts

• You are responsible for ensuring that the datafiles are “upload-ready”

• Ideally, you process subsequent data import in the equipment management tool directly

Your Profile:

• It is fun for you to deal with complex, extensive data sets

• You have advanced skills in working with Excel and/or Google Sheets

• You are currently in your Bachelor's/Master's studies in disciplines such as Informatics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences or related

• You like to work together with others

• Very good English and German skills in order to be able to align with our international and local project partners
