Job description

The Position

There is an opening for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join the laboratory of Dr. Nelson Alexander in the Discovery Sciences Oncology team at Roche Diagnostics.  The interests of the lab are currently focused on implementing new tumor sampling methodologies to address tumor heterogeneity at the cellular and molecular level, and applying these methods to improve cancer outcome disparities.  We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of excellence in either Cancer Biology, Single Cell Biology or Biochemistry. The successful candidate will have a strong scientific background that could include: cellular immunology, single-cell RNA-Seq and other single-cell technologies, data analysis, and cancer biology.

Who you are:

  • The qualified individual will possess a Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology or a related field with a solid publication record that includes at least one first-authored publication.

  • Experience or interest with flow cytometry, single cell transcriptomics and other single cell technologies is preferred.

  • Experience with the computational analysis of single cell data sets is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and writing skills as well as a track record of working in highly collaborative environments is a must.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Arizona is $54,900 and $101,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below:
