The complexity of cancer requires new techniques for advancing new generations of medicines. The Data Science group at Roche Innovation Center New York has an opening for a postdoc to work at the forefront of genomics and cancer immunology using data from single cell sequencing experiments.

The primary goal of the project is scientific discovery and publication. We expect that results from this project will impact our global oncology programs from target assessment to biomarker discovery.

The successful candidate will develop computational and statistical techniques for modelling the interplay between the immune system and cancer.

Candidates for this position should have:

·  A recent PhD with strong background in bioinformatics, statistics, and genomics; broad understanding of cancer and/or immunology is a plus.
·  Track record of applying statistics or math to complex biological data.
·  Experience using R and R bioinformatics packages.
·  Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with local and global multidisciplinary teams of oncologists, biologists, clinical scientists and data scientists.
