Patient Journey Partner Oncology
BELGIUM Accounting / Management control
Job description
The Position
An exciting function within Roche bringing added value for patients, the ecosystem & Roche!
Healthcare continues to change: radical innovation, increased openness to change, increasing patient empowerment, multiple sources of medical information, and pressure on public spending. As a result of all this, the needs of our stakeholders continue to evolve.
The Patient Journey Partner (PJP) is at the centre of the new Roche organisation, bringing in actionable customer insights to the organisation to ensure value creation for patients, the ecosystem and Roche.
What is the impact of a Patient Journey Partner?
The PJP is an empowered leader operating within a cross functional business team and the local face of Roche. S/He partners closely with all stakeholders directly touching the patient journey in the oncology ecosystem, gaining a deep understanding of their needs in order to connect Roche’s capabilities to co-create meaningful solutions which support the triple win ambition.
This role is locally embedded in the ecosystem, it is an integrated role, functionally agnostic, i.e. it does not fit into the traditional concepts of Commercial/Sales or Medical Affairs.
The PJP role focuses on in-depth scientific discussions, product promotion and partnerships/projects. The role has no profitability, sales objectives or incentives to ensure the agnostic nature of the role.
The PJP stewards Roche’s products through their lifecycle and supports their appropriate use, which includes sharing their merits with HCPs in a truthful and balanced manner. Product discussions form the basis and help us to understand the journey of patients going through treatment.
Your ambition and profile
You demonstrate personal purpose around improving the patient journey, as well as strong passion to create value and impact on the ecosystem, for patients and for Roche.
You show a growth mindset and you are able to learn and unlearn quickly, take risks and experiment. You know how to contribute to the learning cycle by sharing knowledge with others inside and outside Roche. You are a curious, intentional learner upgrading knowledge and capabilities everyday.
You show an enabler mindset, leveraging the internal and external networks to create value, sharing back and scaling. You are a team player and you excel in teamwork and collaboration with the direct business team members and beyond, ensuring high performing teamwork.
You can boldly act on key decisions and opportunities and boldly stop any activity that is not adding value. Ability to say “No” to stakeholders when the triple win value is not predictable/foreseen.
You demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding partnering capabilities (coaching, consulting, ability to deeply listen, question and understand).
Do you recognize yourself within these capabilities?

You have some experience in leading a cross-functional team, as well as experience in both formulating cross-functional strategies and orchestrating cross-functional teams is highly desired.
