We are looking to recruit a high calibre Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) to join our UK Medical Liaison Team covering the Roche's rare diseases portfolio in London/South East. This field based role is a great opportunity for you to combine your scientific background and clinical expertise with your flair for communication and relationship building.

Reporting to the UK MSL Team Leader for Rare Diseases within Medical Affairs, you will ultimately be part of a Regional Key Account Management Team, responding to requests from healthcare professionals for medical/scientific information and providing appropriate clinical study support to the clinical operations group within Roche. You will manage the important liaison between the healthcare professional and the relevant internal functions at Roche, exploring and identifying opportunities for building partnerships that benefit both parties. The insight gained by your interactions with healthcare professionals will allow you to proactively contribute to strategic discussions to improve the quality and relevance of the research and data generated by the Company.

This role requires you to comply with Roche and other regulatory and industry procedures and standards, so you will also need to have a sound understanding of the NHS and the ABPI Code of Practice.

Our UK Pharmaceutical head office is situated in Welwyn garden City, Hertfordshire, with beautiful country side surrounding the area. Supported by major motorways & airports as well as being a 30 minute train ride to London, access is easy. With over 1400 people occupying our site in Welwyn, you can expect opportunities in Early Development (pRED), Product Development (PD), Commercial (Rx) and of course our corporate function.

To be successful in this role you will have a life sciences degree and/or proven experience of working in a clinical or scientific role within the pharmaceutical industry or the NHS. You will be skilled at understanding, analysing and interpreting data from clinical trials. Your ability for conveying complex concepts concisely combined with your excellent presentation skills will enable you to translate and communicate that data. Your positive and proactive approach combined with excellent communication, inter-personal and influencing skills will enable you to build and sustain partnerships in your locality. Planning and project management skills, combined with time management skills, will allow you to optimise and prioritise activities in order to deliver the most efficient service to your healthcare professionals.

Hemophilia and/or respiratory disease area experience is highly desirable, but we would be keen to hear from other applicants with the appropriate transferable skills.
