Why are we hiring a MSL Breast Cancer & Gynaecology?

We constantly challenge ourselves to be aligned with our North Star: “Better outcomes for more patients faster”. Therefore, we are looking for a Medical Science Liaison to establish partnerships with our HCPs, in order to better serve the needs of our customers.

A day in the life of a MSL Breast Cancer & Gynaecology

Our MSLs, we find them most of their time in the field, as proud ambassadors for Roche . In this role, you will represent Roche in Belgium (North & South) and in Luxemburg. On a day-to-day basis, you will be part of the Customer Driven Team (CDT) Breast Cancer & Gynaecology. Functionally you will report to the Chapter Head Customer Engagement.

Curious to find out more about the responsibilities? Let's start with the basics: you establish long-term, peer-to-peer relationships with HCPs investigators . With these established relationships, you are able to generate insights and of course much more: in-depth discussions, project co-creation, bring value to patients, education, data dissemination,..…

You collect information on the field about treatment algorithm, disease area related information, patient journeys, treatment algorithms, treatment decisions, broader framework, multidisciplinary approach,.. As you see, you will collect a lot of information!

It's not only about collecting information. It's about knowing why we need the insights . You see the bigger picture; easily understand the market environment, and the needs of the customers/patients.

At Roche, we are team players . In this role, this means: sharing the insights and co-creating an adequate customer engagement strategy. Together with the team, you connect the dots. You will co-create and roll out a territory medical plan and beyond. You contribute to the implementation of the tactical/field medical plans in collaboration with your CDT. We strive towards an integrated strategy where customer engagement and medical are complimentary to each other.

Furthermore, while working closely with HCPs you identify opportunities for collaborations between Roche and the HCPs.

If we could dream… how would you look like?

We dream of a candidate with Scientific University degree . This scientific background is important in order to be able to understand profoundly the scientific data and translate this data to value bringing. To do this you combine your scientific background with excellent communication skills . You translate dense and academic information into engaging and persuasive messages that serve the needs of our customer and more specifically the value it brings to patients. To formulate strong and engaging messages you also need strong listening skills to understand what our customers truly need, internally and externally, so that finally you can anticipate our customers need. You may noticed it, being customer oriented is key in this role. You build relationships as true partnerships by implementing an open two-way interaction .

Having experience in the field of Breast and Gynaecological cancers is an asset . As you will cover the North and South of Belgium (and Luxemburg), we expect a candidate who is fluent in Dutch and French with good knowledge of English.
