As part of the iSafe Department we drivethe lead series identification and optimization processand provide in vitro safety data packages that allow fast selection of best drug candidates. Therefore we establish and use innovative tailor made solutions to address safety flags early on while enabling lean and fast development.
In this position, you will
· Drive a project in the Early Safety Area (Pharmaceutical Science)
· Develop innovative assays to study DNA damage in mammalian cells and bacteria
· Establish baseline parameters for the evaluation of assay process workflows
· Generate robust experimental efficiency and performing high quality hands-on lab-work to drive the project forward
· Work with Cell culture, different cell lines and bacteria, Automated measurement of DNA breaks and Cellular toxicity assays

Desired profile
Who you are
You are an ambitious master student who is currently enrolled in Toxicology, Biology, Biochemistry or comparable. You are a phenomenal teammate, motivated by meeting early drug discovery, patient as well as drug safety and you would like to learn more about how to address challenging questions experimentally.
Moreover, you are/have
· Experienced with cell culture, cell handling, and basic automation technology is an advantage
· Basic understanding of cell based assay techniques
· Good communication skills and team work attitude for regular interaction with the group members
· Proficient in English
