Are you passionate about master data management and looking for a meaningful role? Are you an experienced operational leader, who excels in designing and continuously improving Master Data related processes, associated system(s), master data elements, analytics & performance indicators and people capabilities? In this position, you will be reporting to the Global Head Master Data Management.
You will act as a change agent, focused on improving business capabilities (process, system, data, analytics and people capabilities), to enable end-to-end enhanced business results, as well as compliance, responsiveness, reliability, agility, cost and asset management efficiency.
You will be responsible for Data Process design, including Key Performance Indicators, Process Health Indicators and Analytics needed to fully empower operational teams to take informed decisions, as they execute their functional processes. You will also be accountable for defining system requirements with associated data elements and rules, by partnering with other Business Capabilities Owners (BCOs), Business Capabilities Analysts, Business System Owners, internal and external customers/suppliers to ensure End-to-End solutions that optimize performance across functions and processes.
Responsibilities:
· Drive strategy and implementation of multi-domain Master Data Management (MDM) product and services
· Lead the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives in the MDM area by partnering with functional representatives i.e. Capabilities Community and/or across Communities according to schedule and regularly reports status to stakeholders
· Actively identify and create solutions to address master data processes, data, analytics & performance indicators and people capabilities inefficiencies / network/multi-site improvement opportunities.
· Decision-maker for master data holistic solutions that integrate process, system, data, analytics and people capabilities improvements, ensuring end-to-end alignment with the other cells
· Identify, validate and develop data models/elements/processes to support business needs. Ensure all actors of the business are aware of developments. Obtain their 'buy in' into the initiatives.
· Challenge status quo and drive a culture of innovation by bringing an outside-in perspective, built via a strong external network and benchmarking to assess the maturity of master data related capabilities and defines ambitious improvement goals.
· Ensure appropriate documentation & training documentation development of the desired state of processes and associated systems, data and analytics at the appropriate level
· Ensure appropriate training is executed at the right level, directly and by the Business Capabilities communities
· Bring re-design proposals of processes and associated with data and analytics to the attention of the Business Capabilities Council for final endorsement
· Ensure that the overall service provided meets business needs and that quality is periodically reviewed with defined functions seeking continual improvements
· Define KPIs / PHIs and analytics needed for core processes
· Monitor and report deliverable progress and solution delivery vs. plan for her/his area of responsibility
· Chair and lead the Business Capabilities Communities, maintaining a strong connection with business operations by applying a “go, see and understand” behavior
· Represent data management on multi-functional projects, through data thought leadership and pull through of strategy and governance policies
· Identify and document issues, conduct impact analysis, make recommendations for resolution and drive solution
· Communicate proactively with stakeholders and senior management regarding progress, issues and plans for resolution
· Ensure, at all times, solutions compliance with corporate compliance guidelines and directives
· Actively collaborate with other (E2E) Business Capabilities Owners, Business Capabilities Analysts, Business System Owners, Digital Lean Lead, SMEs, IT, functional organizations and others as appropriate
Qualifications:
· Degree level BS/BA is required; advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred in a technical, business, supply chain or pharmaceutical field
· Lean Six Sigma Practitioner level in continuous improvement methods is required; APICS and/or SCOR certification is a plus
· Completion of formal training courses and seminars in executive leadership, business process management, supply chain management, finance, information technology, learning & development is desired
· Minimum 8-10 years of previous experience working in the areas of master data management, data stewardship, data governance, data acquisition and/or strategy
· Minimum 3-5 years' experience in SAP MDG-M 7.0/8.0/9.0 with a fully implementation cycles
· Experience in translating business process requirements into the technical implementation of SAP Master Data Governance
· Expertise in Data Model Enhancement, Data Transfer (DIF/DEF), Data Replication Framework (DRF), Business Rules Framework plus (BRF plus).
· Experience in Process Modelling (Entity, Business Activity change, Request type, Workflow, Edition type, Relationship, Data replication techniques, SOA service, ALE connection, Key & value mapping, Data transfer, Export & import master data, Convert master data).
· Experience managing data projects and data vendors in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry
· 2+ years experience in Operational Excellence and in applying LEAN methods and tools
· Previous experience in other functions within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related industry is strongly preferred
· Cross-cultural experience is required, international experience is preferred
· You are fluent (reading, writing and speaking) in English and able to travel 50% or more within region and internationally.
