Group Safety, Security, Health and Environmental Protection (SHE), North American (NA) supports Group SHE, LS which has global responsibility for safety, security, health and environmental protection at all sites and companies in Roche's Diagnostics and Pharmaceuticals Divisions. Group SHE, NA's primary role is to assure that all sites and companies in Roche's Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics divisions appropriately identify, manage and reduce their SHE-related risks. Group SHE, NA fulfills this role by implementing programs and projects within five key areas: Building Awareness; Motivating; Educating/Informing/Consulting; Auditing; and Reporting/Benchmarking. We are currently recruiting interns for specific projects at our Little Falls, NJ location. The program provides a unique experience within a corporate SHE organization, where you will help support ongoing departmental objectives. You will gain an overview of corporate SHE functions and how to influence change within an organization.

CESA NA is seeking a talented individual to assist with departmental communication initiatives. Communications include web sites improvements, regulatory updates and field notifications for follow-up action. Please provide a resume and cover letter highlighting applicable coursework and interest in the following departmental project:

·  Prepare Product Stewardship Success Stories and impact metrics

·  Develop and implement a communication strategy for safety, security, health and environmental protection requirements

·  Redesign and organize departmental information to make information, guidance and requirements more accessible (i.e. website navigation)

·  Account for site performance utilizing web based tools and populate requirements into audit system

The expected project deliverables will include website updates and completed communication templates related to departmental needs with product stewardship, company SHE requirements and appropriate management of of high risk activities.

·  Must be a 3rd or 4th year student, or graduate student (preferred) studying studying Sustainability Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational and Public Health, or similar.

·  Has an interest in process improvement, metrics and data analytics for SHE aspects
