The Position

E2E Lab Services is part of pRED Operations and provides versatile support services to laboratory personnel, mainly in labs at the Roche Innovation Center Basel. Our goal is to create more time for science by reducing non-scientific efforts of the scientists.

The team “Lab Technologies & Robotics” is one of the four teams in ‘E2E Lab Services' providing tailor made Lab Automation solutions for our customers, ~900 scientists in various research labs within Basel area and the aim to expand to our other international pRED sites.

The main tasks for you are:

·  Elaboration, leading and implementing automation solutions for assays and workflows
·  Development, programming and implementation of scientific workflows
·  Troubleshooting and managing maintenance & repair of instruments
·  Support and consult the users in the research labs on lab automation projects

Who You Are

You are someone who is looking for a new challenge in a technical and scientific driven environment. You want to use and share your in depth knowledge in Lab Automation to provide expert solutions in assay automation. You are curious, versatile, creative, willing to learn and happy to collaborate and support your colleagues, customers and stakeholders. You bring fresh ideas and visions to implement them by your very good personal interactions and communication skills.

You bring the following experiences:

·  Scientific and technical education with in-depth knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and Technical Engineering
·  Profound technical knowledge and experience in automation and instrumentation within the research field
·  Advanced programming skills for schedulers, working stations such as liquid handlers as well as other peripheral devices
·  Fluent in German and English, oral and written
