The position

The MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) Process Engineers group is a part of the Basel Biotech Drug Substance Manufacturing organization and is responsible for supporting routine commercial manufacturing, technology transfers, process optimizations and for leading implementation of new technologies to drive manufacturing efficiencies.

Our tasks include the preparation of process description documents to translate process requirements from development to commercial scale manufacturing, ensuring compliance with new global policies with regards to process monitoring and process validation. Our group also engages in investigations to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and subsequently product supply to patients.

We are currently looking for a motivated and result driven intern for 8 to 12 months in the field of process validation (including the steps of upstream and downstream processing of drug substance production).

In this position you will have the opportunity to

· 
Get insights into Biotechnological Drug Substance Manufacturing (Stainless Steel & Single Use Technology)​

· 
Support all process validation activities (planning, sampling and reporting) for routine production and new product implementations / process validation in technical transfer projects

· 
Data preparation and analysis; Creation e.g. of documents, flow diagrams and presentations in german/english

Desired profile

Who you are

You are either an enrolled student or recent Master's graduate student with a focus on biotechnology, organic chemistry, engineering, bioprocess engineering or similar fields.

You are interested in expanding your experience and in being exposed to drug substance manufacturing under GMP in a world leading pharmaceutical company.

You have pro-active knowledge sharing mindset with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Moreover you have

· 
Biotechnological or pharmaceutical education or related background

· 
Demonstrated self-initiative, assertiveness and persuasiveness

· 
Good knowledge of MS Office like tools

· 
Very good German and good English skills are mandatory

· 
Experience in GMP is a plus
