The MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) Process Engineers group is a part of the Basel Biotech Drug Substance Manufacturing organization and is responsible for supporting routine commercial manufacturing, technology transfers, process optimizations, and for leading implementation of new technologies to drive manufacturing efficiency.

Our tasks include the to transfer of process requirements from development to commercial scale manufacturing resulting in process description documents and ensuring compliance with new global policies with regards to process monitoring. Our group also engages in investigations and provides expert knowledge to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and subsequently product supply to patients.

We are currently looking for a motivated and result driven intern for 8 to 12 months in the field of upstream processing (cell culture).

In this position you will have the opportunity to

·  Get insights into Biotechnological mAb Large Scale Manufacturing (Single Use Technology & Stainless Steel)
·  Support New Product Implementations / Technical Transfer Projects: Data preparation and analysis; Creation of process flow diagrams and documents in German/English
·  Support Routine Commercial Manufacturing

Desired profile

Who you are

· 
You are either an enrolled student or recent Master's graduate student with a focus on biotechnology, bioprocess engineering or similar fields.

· 
You are interested in expanding your experience and in being exposed to drug substance manufacturing under GMP in a world leading pharmaceutical company.

· 
You have pro-active knowledge sharing mindset with excellent organizational and communication skills.

· 
You have an analytical mind and strong data processing skills.

Moreover you have

· 
Basic knowledge in cell culture is mandatory, more extensive knowledge/experience is a big plus

· 
Demonstrated self-initiative, assertiveness and persuasiveness

· 
Very good knowledge in preparing and visualizing data in office programs (either Microsoft or Google) is mandatory

· 
Very good German and good English skills are mandatory

· 
Experience with JMP (and/or other) statistical software programs is desired
