These include stochastic global optimization methods (Scatter Search, Particle Swarm Optimization, Tabu Search, etc.) & global sensitivity analyses approaches. The intern will get an opportunity to work with existing in-house QSP models & become familiar with Genentech's workflow for QSP model development and its contribution to drug development. The research project will primarily be executed in MATLAB and associated toolboxes (SimBiology, Global Optimization and Parallel Computing) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) computational resources. The summer intern is expected to give a formal presentation at the end of the program. Minimum duration of the internship is for 3 months, however, the timing of the start date and end date can be flexible.
