The Opportunity
Roche diagnostics has a broad portfolio across six customer areas that include our widely-used molecular, pathology, point-of-care and core solutions in conjunction with our provider insights and lab insights information solutions. The Project Management team works as part of the Portfolio and Project Management function to help each customer area within DIA track and manage their portfolio from a strategic vantage point.
As part of the Project Management Chapter, the Global Project Manager (GPM) plays a key role in optimized product delivery, accountable for all project management aspects of various projects from simple to complex in nature. This includes the ability to act in a waterfall as well as an agile setting depending on the circumstances and the need of the business. Takes project/product from the original concept through completion. Develops and directs detailed scope descriptions, work plans, schedules, project estimates, spending, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project/ART meetings and is responsible for the definition and implementation of project risk mitigating measures. Reports project goals (e.g, KPIs/OKRs) to enable teams and functions to measure and improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness. Recommends and takes action to analyze and find solutions to problems. We rely on GPMs to maximize the impact of our annual R&D investment. In order to do this, the GPM has a 360° view into the organization and, with support from the broader Portfolio & Project Management organization, connects all data points & information into a neutral fact base to enable strategic discussions and decisions. As a trusted advisor the GPM translates and drives projects into products and enables the organization to use energy and time effectively and efficiently. One of the key responsibilities to achieving this is holding all team members accountable towards the planned outcome.
Responsibilities
Orchestrating Global Initiatives: Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and global standards.
Customer-Conforming Communication Material: Develop and refine communication materials that resonate with our diverse customer base, ensuring clarity, effectiveness, and brand consistency.
Intranet Chapter Representation: Maintain and enhance the presence of the Project Management chapter on the company intranet, ensuring up-to-date and engaging content.
Workshop and Meeting Preparation: Coordinate and prepare for workshops and regular meetings, including logistics, materials preparation, and follow-up actions.
Who You Are
You are currently enrolled at a university or completed your studies within the last 12 months in Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
Growth mindset.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
Basic knowledge of project management principles and practices.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Non-EU/EFTA citizens must enclose a confirmation from the university that a compulsory internship is part of the course with the application documents.
