The PDE Software Development Intern will collaborate with the PACE Process Automation group, the PACE Data Management group and Pilot Plant Operations to design, implement and document a proof of concept web-browser user interface for the 2L Production E-ticket, PI Manual Data Entry, and PI Experiment Configuration solutions. The final prototype will demonstrate the feasibility of real time, web-based communication between the browser and target data sources (i.e. E-ticket, OSI PI Historian)
The Intern will be presented with a variety of interdisciplinary opportunities including exposure to the following disciplines:
· Software Development
· Web Development
· Process Data Historian Administration
· Introduction to Industrial Control Systems and Pilot Plant Operations
· User Requirements Collection
· Speaking, Writing & Visual Presentation

· Bachelor of Science - Sophomore or higher, or Master of Science
· Computer Science, Software/Web Development, Software Engineering
· Familiarity with JavaScript, Microsoft .NET, and Microsoft Visual Studio is a plus
·
