The Global Pricing and Market Access (GPMA) at F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Ltd. based in Basel, Switzerland is seeking a temporary health economist/health economic modeler to develop health economic / cost-effectiveness models. The position would be responsible for working collaboratively with other colleagues within the department to implement strategies and provide technical expertise used in the preparation of health technology assessment / reimbursement dossiers as well as early strategic and exploratory modeling for trial design and early payer consultation processes.
The position would be accountable for developing health economic models for both existing and pipeline products suitable to the standards specified by national reimbursement agencies.
The global health economist/modeler will:
· Provide input into the design of clinical trials with a particular focus, ensuring payer relevant endpoints, comparators and other related measures are accounted for
· Liaise with medical and health economic KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) to ensure optimized models structures and key data input for reimbursement applications
· Support affiliates in their reimbursement application process.

· MSc, MPhil, PhD in economics, health economics or related field, expertise in MS Excel, TreeAge, Winbugs, R and any other relevant modeling software
· Minimum 2 years hands on experience building health economic decision models
· The candidate possesses expertise in building and evaluating health economic models for payer reimbursement applications, as well as a good understanding of biostatistics and design of clinical trials, the candidate needs experience with building models in MS Excel
· Solid knowledge of the following subjects: decision modeling, hands-on experience modeling with knowledge of clinical trial development, statistical methods in the analysis of clinical trial data
· The candidate must also have the ability to communicate and collaborate with both functional and academic experts, as well as understand different needs of various stakeholders throughout the company, be a team player as you will need to work in multi-cultural and cross- functional teams
· Fluency in English both oral and written.
