In this position you will report directly to the Head of Risk, Contracts & Compliance and be a part of the highly- motivated Risk, Contracts & Compliance team. This team is focusing on developing, rolling out and maintaining Roche Procurement Policy, Supplier Code of Conduct (CoC) and the high-level end-to-end Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Business Continuity (BC) process, including the development and roll out of related training.

Global Procurement is a key function that delivers value to Roche by using market knowledge, subject matter expertise and business insights in the procurement of goods and services and the management of Roche's third party spend. Through collaboration with our external suppliers and internal business partners, Global Procurement helps bring innovative tests and medicines to patients.

As the Procurement Compliance Officer you will work closely with the RC&C Lead, Global Business Process Owner and wider related business partners and therefore play a meaningful role in securing Procurement's right to operate. You will spend significant time and effort to influence a large number of risk, compliance and quality partners (e.g. GARA, Chief Compliance Officer, Corporate Sustainability Committee (CSC), Group Risk Management and Group SHE) to transform how Procurement meets its risk, compliance and quality operating requirements.

To close operational collaboration is maintained with Global Procurement Leaders. Additionally you will collaborate with Roche external partners (e.g. Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative, RobecoSAM and Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)). The core objective of this role is to minimize corporate risk through management of the Supplier Sustainability program under Roche Group K15 Directive on behalf of Global Procurement. In developing the high-level end-to-end process, the job holder is responsible for incorporating essential organizational and Procurement Regional and Category requirements whilst challenging those that are not aligned to Procurement's Vision or operating requirements.

Your responsibilities:

Develop People:

·  Lead the team by managing performance and talent development for all direct functional reports and provide feedback for others contributing to the Risk & Sustainability team's deliverables and performance
·  Develop team members and provide opportunities for career progression
·  Define a succession plan for the team to support career development and ensure a pipeline of talent

Core accountabilities:

To lead the Sustainability, Risk & Assurance sub-team, by defining, transitioning and managing sustainability & risk service offering scope, governance and infrastructure to meet and exceed given objectives and goals will be part of your work. You have the chance to develop, roll out and maintain Roche Procurement Policy, Supplier CoC, high-level TPRM and BC process and define and monitor related important metrics. This includes to oversee and manage Policy, Supplier CoC, TPRM and BC related training content development and training delivery / operations.

Another important part of your daily work will be advise giving on sustainability principles implementation and lead on initiatives. This will assure the effective supplier Roche K15-Supplier Audit program execution globally to ensure collaboration with Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI), SHE and the Quality Audit team.

Key responsibilities:

·  Work with the Global RC&C Lead and Global Procurement Leadership team (GP LT) to define Procurement's risk appetite and streamline service scope and with wider risk, compliance and quality partners to meet Procurement's functional requirements, whilst challenging those not aligned to core Procurement's scope.
·  Harmonize and continuously improve cross-divisional Sustainability, Risk & Assurance service offering and together with wider RC&C team ensure alignment with the Procurement Strategy and Roche's wider Sustainability, Risk and Business Continuity goals. Act as the key Point of Contact for Group Audit ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) and K directives. Assure effective coordination and execution of sustainability principles implementation and lead on initiatives.
·  Define holistic important metrics and metrics to measure Roche Procurement Policy, Supplier CoC and TPRM and BC process implementation and effectiveness. Monitor and report on critical metrics against organizational and industry standards.
·  Define Operating Model Enabler (e.g. tools, templates) requirements to be developed and maintained by the team. Ensure responsibilities for development, maintenance and improvement are delegated to the respective team members.
·  Ensure Sustainability, Risk & Assurance service offering scope, governance and infrastructure and the team's activities, performance and deliverables meet relevant compliance standards and follow Roche's guidelines and regulations.

Furthermore, you will:

·  Implement outstanding practices by driving continuous improvement bringing to bear internal and external networks and exchange with relevant experts. Develop and implement industry standards and initiatives as appropriate (PSCI collaboration).
·  Act as Procurement Compliance Officer and represent Procurement in HCC and Corporate Sustainability Committee. Support Group Audits and lead Supplier Assurance Program (SHE & sustainability; PSCI). Represent Roche in PSCI and lead PSCI (sub)-committees & initiatives. Drive Global submissions to external ranking indices.
·  Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, the global compliance officers network and GARA on assuring compliance in Procurement. Respond to compliance cases that come via the Roche Speak-up line and from key partners of Roche. Provide inputs in Roche Group Code of Conduct and Roche Directives as member of the Healthcare Compliance Council. Act as 2nd line of control in collaboration with GARA and drive closure of Group Audit findings in Procurement.
·  Plan and handle sub-team budgets required to support the annual operating activities and as part of the annual budgeting cycle.
·  Define documentation and knowledge sharing framework – Accountable for accessible documentation of Procurement Sustainability, Risk & Assurance content and ensuring appropriate communication through established channels and infrastructure.

Who you are:

We are looking for a person with a relevant Masters degree and 10+ years strategic and operational procurement experience, as well as 7+ years Sustainability, Risk & Compliance specific experience or other capability relevant experience. Additional, you bring 5+ years SHE and/ or production and supply chain expertise and 3+ years people leadership experience.

You are a highly-engaged go-getter, a leader with partner influencing / management and negotiation skills. We search for someone with demonstrated expertise in procurement process, corporate or quality audit, and sustainability. You know how to work in a complex multidisciplinary context and have confirmed Project / program management experience.
