Head of Supply Chain Region Europe & EEMEA
Behind every presentation of each product sold by Roche is the involvement of Pharma Global Technical Operations (PT). Starting with Phase I of the development process and continuing through to product maturity, PT makes medicines at sites around the world and includes more than 13 000 employees worldwide.
“Product & Supply Chain Management” (PTS) connects the different parts of Roche to ensure reliable supply of our innovative medicines to customers and patients. The group ensures worldwide reliable supply to patients connecting their needs to the Roche Pharma Global Supply Network. This network consists of Roche manufacturing sites, contract manufacturers and external suppliers. Lastly, PTS leads Product Management Teams within PT, develops and implements product strategies as well as designs and optimizes full Supply Chains from raw materials to final product throughout the whole product life-cycle.
In this role, you will manage a team of around 70 people responsible for Supply Chain operations in Europe and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA). You will deal with 42 affiliates plus several direct customers, working with the global functions and different organizations across the Regions, the commercial organizations, finance, all relevant supply chain units and functions in PT. You are responsible for leading a team of leaders who are accountable for the following tasks:
· Sales & Operating Planning (S&OP), with all European and EEMEA affiliates and direct markets
· Global distribution out of the Swiss based hubs
· European distribution out of the Mannheim factory
· Direct customer sales orders for Drug Product and Finished Product, including all related inbound and outbound logistics (Order to Cash).
You will be chairing the governance bodies S&OP Europe and S&OP EEMEA.
Your key responsibilities and tasks will include:
· Building the vision and dedication to common goals, developing and setting priorities for the team, and building partnerships across functions to enable productivity gains needed to achieve the PTS vision and strategy/goal
· Being accountable for performance of the organizations S&OP and Logistics Management.
· Demonstrate Leadership Commitments, Roche Values and PT Behaviors; recruit, retain, develop and motivate your team
· Driving the implementation of best practices and advanced Supply Chain.
· Strive for continuous improvement and promote a lean mindset throughout the organization
You will collaborate and align with PTS regional heads, as well as gain agreement on cross functional continuous improvement initiatives. You will be partnering with the commercial organization strategically and drive change.
You bring the following qualifications:
· Bachelor degree in supply chain, life science, business, industrial engineering or equivalent required; MBA is a plus, APICS certification (or equivalent) is helpful
· Minimum 12 to 15 years' professional experience in an operational role, with 7 – 10 years' experience in Logistics / Materials Management and a minimum of 3 years in a GMP environment, preferably biotech or pharma. Broad experience in different manufacturing industries a plus, but biotech or pharmaceutical industry required
· Exceptional leadership, teamwork, negotiation and change management skills
You have a deep understanding of industry standards, technical disciplines, and manufacturing and logistics practices. You are flexible to function in a tactical environment and maintain focus on strategic organization goals. You have excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. You are customer focused and able to handle expectations. You are able to analyze the state of the business needs and influence the direction of the team and the customers. You have business process expertise and solid knowledge within SAP and digitalisation. Fluent English language skills are required, other languages are an asset.
