Reporting directly to the PTD Head of Global Business Operations, the Head of PTD Business Services will manage, oversee, and coordinate various PTD global processes and projects to ensure the strategic success and continuous improvement of Pharma Technical Development. The successful candidate will be accountable for the PTD Business Racetrack, goal setting activities, and leading selected strategic/improvement project teams and initiatives. The successful candidate will support PTD leadership team activities, meetings and Town Halls.
The Head of PTD Business Services will coordinate and facilitate the annual strategy process for PTD. Outcomes of the strategy process are reflected in the annual PTD Guidebook. The successful candidate will become a member of the PT Strategy Community and will represent PTD's requirements and plans, ensuring PTD strategic alignment within Technical Operations.
The Head of PTD Business Services will also partner with all functions within PTD and multiple global groups including members of Corporate Communications to facilitate effective internal and external communications. This includes managing a communications/web design group, consisting of internal or contract employees (dependent on project needs). He/she will draft and coordinate major presentations and communications for the Head of PTD and other PTDLT members as appropriate.
Lastly, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to shape and influence the scope and direction of PTD Global Business Operations as a member of the leadership team.
Responsibilities:
· Supports the PTD Leadership Team in strategy development. Works closely with internal and external collaborators to provide relevant inputs to the PT strategy process and monitor PTD strategic initiatives.
· Leads the PTD Business Services group and effectively manages regular and contract employees, responsible for communications/web designs and establishes forums/vehicles for communication across the PTD community.
· Partners with Head of PTD to manage and facilitate PTDLT meetings effectively, including suggesting and drafting agenda items writing / issuing meeting minutes, keeping meetings on track and on time. Liaises with executive assistant for meeting logistical support.
· Actively contributes to the PTD Global Business Operations Leadership Team, its vision and mission by thinking broadly across business-enabling activities and collaborating with peers to meet global needs.
· Serves as PTD liaison to PT's strategy community and ensures organizational alignment and mutual reinforcement of strategies.
· Supports the Head of PTD in the development of presentations materials, as well as other members of the PTDLT on presentations related to PTD strategy.
· Supports the annual PTD goal setting process and monitors progress against goals on quarterly basis.
· Works with other Business Managers in PT to ensure best practices and alignment with broader organizations' goals.
· This global position requires an understanding and sensitivity to differing work cultures and styles.

· Degree(s) in Engineering, Science, Business or related discipline.
· 12+ years relevant professional experience.

This position is considered a development role with incumbency ~3 years. The position will give the incumbent broad exposure and is expected that it will be shaped by the needs of the organization and the capabilities of the incumbent.
