The Position

As an externally facing member of our team, you will contribute to strengthening Roche's relationship with government and public entities, playing a vital role in shaping public policy to optimise patient outcomes. Based in Ireland, you will engage with policymakers, analyse legislative developments (local and EU/global), and advocate for policies that promote patient benefit while reducing societal costs.
Your key responsibilities
Engage externally with relevant stakeholders, including government bodies, political parties, industry associations, advocacy groups, and journalists.
Collaborate with policymakers and stakeholders to co-create solutions that deliver better outcomes for patients more efficiently.
Lead and coordinate Roche's involvement in political & legislative policy initiatives, collaborating with local affiliates and global networks.
Provide subject matter expertise connecting medical value, health, economic, and public policies to advise the organisation on engagement with key stakeholders.
Utilise external insights to develop public policy outcomes that support innovation and timely access to healthcare.
Identify opportunities to shape policy through participation in committees, education of legislators, advocacy efforts, and other mechanisms.
Monitor, analyse and provide insight on existing and proposed healthcare legislation, ensuring internal stakeholders are informed and policy shifts are considered in Roche's work.
Liaise with regional and global counterparts on public policy projects to facilitate shared learning and efficient delivery.
Lead the production of high-quality internal and external responses to relevant policies, draft Roche position statements, and papers as needed.
Collaborate with colleagues to prioritise and deliver work, demonstrating a commitment to high ethical standards and compliance with policies and codes of conduct.
Take personal responsibility for maintaining high ethical standards and operating in compliance with local and global Roche policies, the Roche Group Code of Conduct and the IPHA Code of Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry.

A skilledGovernment Relations practitioner with Bachelor's level qualification & solid experience in Public Policy.
Knowledgeable about Irish Healthcare and General Health policy, with experience working with policymakers or government advisors.
You possess strong networking and influencing skills to facilitate stakeholder engagement, as well as being able to successfully navigate the regulatory and legislative environment
