As a Regional Field Service Engineer (based in Romania) you will operate in EMEA (Europe) which requires a high share of travel (80%) across countries. You are accountable for installation of CoreLab analytical laboratory instruments platforms in order to achieve a high level of service excellence within the region. You are also responsible to contribute to large projects at customer sites and can be seen as the knowledge expert. We are looking for someone eager to learn in a diverse environment, creating space for co-creation and focus on delivering the best service to our customers and patients.
Key responsibilities
General responsibilities:
Installation/relocation of analytical laboratory instruments of Roche
Technical release of analytical systems for laboratory use
Focus on installations of large projects that require special attention based on the continuous increase of customer demands and specifications on the instruments that we deliver
Independently analyze and resolve most questions and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher levels
Ensure all regional activities are documented in a manner compliant with company’s quality procedure
Additional technical product responsibility:
Awareness of new service bulletins, Global Customer Support (GCS) hot news and other forums. Close collaboration with our Global Customer Support to share technical experience, implement new ways of working and promote teamwork across borders.
Knowledge transfer and technical resource to other Field Service Engineers
Support for service coordination at customer as well as general/technical advice to service coordination
Documentation & Cooperation:
Timely and accurate logging of data according to work instructions and agreements, with regard to activities in the CRM system
Ensure all regional activities are documented in a manner compliant with company’s quality procedures
Actively gathering information in preparation for meetings, delivering an active part in these meetings and give feedback of outcome of these meetings to others
Develop and monitor local reports to ensure the efficient and productive delivery of services
Actively monitor costs for own Service activities
Who you are
You have full technical higher education (precision mechanics, electronic, Information Technology, Medical Technology, Medical Bioengineering / Medical Engineering or related specialties).
You can be a recent graduate, after university, with low experience or an experienced professional.
You have basic knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems and information technology
You are open for frequent travels both local and throughout Europe (on average, 80% travel required)
You have excellent analytical, problem analysis and decision-making skills
You are skilled in effective planning, organizational and time management
You have basic knowledge of IT & Networking
You deliver an effective customer service, mastering written/verbal communication, organization and prioritization skills
You are fluent in English (verbal and written)
You have a valid driver’s license
You are expected to adhere through your conduct to all applicable laws and regulations as well as to the high integrity standards as set forth by Roche, and successfully complete training and certification as defined by Roche Diagnostic Services and policies.
