The Position
Territory: This position will cover St. Louis, MO. The person selected must reside in St. Louis, MO, or within 50 miles of the metro area.
Travel: This is a remote, field-based position with up to 50% travel requirements, including some overnight, weekend and holidays as required.

Your Opportunity
The Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers. As a Field Engineering Specialist:
You will travel to customer sites and showcase your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.
You will offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory.
You will provide routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
You will serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
You will diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
You will document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience
5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking is necessary, OR a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field, plus 1-2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical, or system hardware and software, or networking, or wireless networking.
Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
Ability to travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of progressive experience, OR a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience
Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology
Ability to serve as an internal technical resource that can train and mentor other FES in the region.
Provide support after hours and on weekends and holidays as required
Possess strong customer service skills to ensure positive customer relationships
