As a Field Applications Specialist - Molecular Diagnostics you will:
• Be responsible for the on-site installation, verification, calibration and/or evaluation of Roche equipment, applications and/or systems. Performs instrument/product installations and evaluations in accordance with department guidelines. Monitors equipment, product and system performance ensuring operational quality, and reports issues to higher levels.
• Completes product conversion installation, upgrades or patches and support as required. Is able to perform moderately complex installations under general supervision.
• Conducts on-site customer training for customers for assigned instrumentation, products and/or applications. Trains key operators on the use and maintenance of the equipment, applications, IT products and/or systems. Conducts on-site training seminars and re-training for customers.
• May support sales activities by promoting Roche products and identifying opportunities for new reagent channels. Provides leads to sales team. Identifies opportunities for competitive system consolidation or replacements.
• Serves as the Roche liaison with customers on routine administrative and technical matters. Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with customers.
• Determines customer needs and sets appropriate installation/evaluation expectations. Promotes Roche as a leader in the diagnostic market.
• Maintains knowledge of assigned products and technologies.
• Documents and processes all service and customer account related reports, updates, and emails in a timely and professional manner. Maintains contact with in-house technical support areas and management per policy.
• Maintains expenses within departmental guidelines and controls inventory and all company property.

Territory: Florida & Puerto Rico. Qualified candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport within the state of Florida or be willing to relocate.

Travel: overnight 75%

Required Skillsets:
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences
• 3+ years of previous experience in a clinical laboratory
• Have the ability to learn Roche molecular diagnostics product lines, equipment, and systems
• Good written/verbal communication skills
• Effective customer service skills which includes a positive attitude, helpful customer interaction, and maintenance of ongoing customer relationships
• Effective time management skills
• Open to 50% travel

Preferred Skillsets:
• Previous experience mentoring and training others
• Prior Molecular Diagnostics experience
• Someone who is looking for a professional career and to expand your horizons within the organization
