The Position

Work with sales, marketing and operations to improve forecasting accuracy through a robust planning cycle. Develop sound supply chain contingencies to enable rapid reaction to forecast deficiencies while still balancing overall business objectives. Special focus on new product launches and tender management.

Improving forecasting skills with distributors and relevant regional Roche employees and continuously improve the demand planning set up.

Responsible to compile demand forecasts from the region and place them in the forecasting systems. Review and analyze forecasts with the global supply planning teams and identify supply constraints. Also responsible to create reports and analysis on the forecast trends and improve forecast accuracy.

This role will be participating in and providing analysis to improvement projects within supply chain.

This role is also responsible to ensure incoming international customer order handling, deliveries and invoicing for Middle East markets. In addition close track and follow up on progress of order fulfillment in line with lead-times, product availability and successful clearance of goods.

Working with SAP and other software packages the individual must be able to manipulate data and make appropriate recommendations to the wider Supply Chain team.

Your key activities will include:

Demand planning

·  Conduct the Demand and Supply Plan review for assigned markets.
·  Responsible for creating and maintaining the 24-month sales forecast along in close collaboration with the business and global planning.
·  New launch and tender planning and trouble shooting/issues management.
·  Work on Supply Chain network optimization initiative and on End User for SAP IBP and RODIS reporting

Supply Planning

·  Responsible for ensuring inventory availability by regularly monitoring stocks and expediting at Planning Centers (Global) when necessary.
·  Provide analytical support to projects and Exception handling.
·  Assist the customer service specialist on the order management process, acting as a backup for the following:
·  Order input into SAP and issuance of proforma invoices and order confirmations
·  Provide customers with all required documentations for customs clearance
·  Active tracking and follow up on order status
·  Manage Letter or Credit requirements with customers
·  Coordinate the logistics of goods between 3PL/Raunheim and the customer
·  Handling of orders and deadlines related to tender business

South Africa Local Responsibilities

·  Monitor and work closely with 3PL to ensure accurate stock balance between 3PL system and SAP are aligned
·  Performs all authorized SAP related transactions such as corrections of iDoc errors, ASN's, adjustments, transfer postings and receipts when required and serve as the primary contact for managing sales reconciliation and releasing orders by coordinating the requirements and documentations with Finance
·  Coordinating customer queries ensuring timely resolution and manage and coordinate the product repacking process, working closely with Regulatory, Marketing and 3PL to ensure product are packed on time with no impact to product availability

Overall Supply Chain

·  Provide analytical support to projects and Ensures all stakeholders in the chain are well informed on projected supply risks.
·  Owning the Demand and Supply Planning Process for Cluster MEA3 and participate in supply chain optimization improvement projects.
·  Assist the supply chain manager in preparing forecast reports, supply assessment, KPI reports and invoice YTD reports and contribute in identifying root cause of supply chain performance measure (OTIF) and identify improvement areas.
·  Contributes to business development by continuous proactive assessment of opportunities within supply chain to obtain a competitive advantage and escalate any major issues/concerns to the supply chain manager immediately.
·  Being the owner of the cluster local S&OP process

·  Minimum 5 years' experience in Supply and Demand planning and also Order Management
·  Preference of experience from Pharma/Diabetes care/Diagnostics background. FMCG background is also a plus.

This challenging role requires the following experience and skills:

·  Experience in statistical reporting and knowledge of operational impacts of forecasting
·  Familiar with SAP Material Management, Order Management, Sales Reporting, and SAP IBP.
·  Extensive SAP experience and broad understanding of the full system.
·  Project Management experience.
·  Ability to work autonomously and without close supervision
·  Strong ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
·  Open minded, positive and a team worker
·  Strong oral and written communication skills
·  Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
·  Strong interpersonal skills
