Roche have exciting, multiple opportunities available to join the Early Phase Clinical Data Management (EP CDM) team in Welwyn.
The Data Acquisition Specialist (DAS) is accountable for the clinical database set-up for electronic clinical data loading, and the timely, seamless integration of the electronic data into the database as it becomes available. As a member of the extended study management team (SMT) the Data Acquisition Specialist advises the study team on all aspects of electronic data loading.
You will have a direct Interface with the electronic data providers for a study and execute data loading set up activities to ensure data delivery from these electronic data providers is in accordance with contracted scope of work.
You will manage the acquisition and integration of electronically loaded data and specify/ update data delivery. You are accountabale for the compliant and consistent implementation of lab and electronic data handling requirements as specified in the protocol.
Creates study specific electronic data format and handling specifications and documents and coordinates review and implementation of these documents with the SMT and data providers.
During the conduct phase of the study it is expected that you execute and monitor data loading activities to meet study timelines and resolve data transmission and data file format errors with eData providers. Performs discrepancy management and reconciliation for loaded electronic data and takes appropriate action with eData provider for query resolution.
Leads the data locking activities for all electronic data and ensures all data are loaded and that all electronic data is reconciled. You will coordinate the loading of pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) data and deliver clean study specific electronic data to science.
Your non-study responsibilities will include actively supporting the function to optimise functional processes, support colleagues and drive the functional strategy.

Who you are:
You will be educated to a College/University degree in science or computer-related subject and two or more years experience in handling biomedical data. Alternatively, you will have substantial experience in the clinical field or related scientific research coupled with proven experience in a related data management role.
Above all, you must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills, demonstrated by your ability to present clear instruction and direction to individuals and teams. You must be a self-motivated individual who takes initiative, for example, manages issue resolution to a conclusion without the need for continual supervision.
The successful candidate must have proven knowledge of relational databases and experience using clinical data management systems and tools.
Proven organisation skills demonstrated by the ability to understand instructions and deliver against commitment on time, will be essential for this role. Experience of working as part of a team with a proven ability to make an active contribution to the team's performance is also prefered.
