Purpose and Main Output:

This role is instrumental in overseeing the overall compliance activities through professional, effective & timely collaboration with global & regional compliance teams.
·  Ensure a risk based comprehensive compliance program is implemented in the country in alignment with Head of Compliance ME
·  Act as the Compliance responsible person for policies, education, control systems and monitoring plans in his/her respective Country
·  Support the country management team with queries and compliance-related advice
·  Manage compliance within the country and coordinate with Regional/ME counterparts
·  Ensure that the ME compliance strategy is implemented across the country through local compliance programs to enable continuous and sustainable sales growth
·  Ensure a common understanding of the global, regional, local compliance requirements and related policies & business processes
·  Locally support the implementation of regional and local processes, procedures and guidelines
·  Ensure all employees are adequately aware and trained
·  Monitor and control business ethics
Main Output
·  Support and answer business needs with compliant proposals
·  Process documentations incl. reports/ updates to Head of Compliance – ME
·  Implementation and/or review of SOPs & guidelines
·  Unified messages/ guidance and recommendations
·  Risk assessments/ monitoring
·  Thorough investigation of non-compliant activities or behavior
Role and Responsibilities
·  In charge of awareness, understanding and enforcement of compliance SOPs & programs
·  Regular exchange and knowledge sharing within ME countries.
·  Foster and monitor mandatory e-learning trainings within the country
·  Prepare and conduct required trainings
·  Acting as a ‘Change Agent' while setting new compliance processes, procedures and guidelines and partnering closely with the business in driving the implementation of the integrity risk management process
·  Review of main local projects from a compliance perspective in line with related ME guidance;
·  Support and/or conduct compliance monitoring, compliance controls and compliance audits in the area of business integrity and obtain assurance declaration on business compliance from local managers
·  Conduct regular local compliance monitoring and support the ME Compliance team
·  Identify the need for new or revised processes and guidelines based on changes, compliance trends and risk assessments
·  Providing adequate compliance evidence through business integrity audits and ensuring that risk management & identification activities are conducted in timely manner - all business ethics incidents are being addressed and documented as well as reported in Business Ethics Incident Reporting (BEIR) system and to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)
·  Networking actively across departments to seek involvement & expertise on various risk & compliance topics and within regional & global compliance functions to enhance the synergy and promote best practices sharing within the region and across EEMEA.
·  Support and collaborate with DIA compliance functions in the country to enable synergies in compliance management.
·  Organize locally, compliance operation visits and follow-ups
·  Support and lead the local/regional compliance committee in line with Directive on Compliance Committees in EEMEA;
·  Attend operational and business meetings and provide compliance support as needed

Education:
·  University degree, preferably Business Administration or Life Science
Experience and Knowledge
·  3-5 years' related experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare industry
·  Previous experience in system management would be an asset while demonstrating capacity to resolve complex issues and functioning in a demanding matrix organization
·  Excellent and proven communication and presentation/ training skills
·  Effective organizational skills
·  Experience in commercial and medical environment
·  Experience in leading others (direct and/ or indirect leadership) in a matrix organization;
·  Good knowledge of Roche Code of Conduct and related local codes and regulations;
·  Understanding of the Pharmaceutical business
·  Ability to demonstrate high personal integrity when dealing with confidential information
·  Fluent in written and spoken English and Farsi
