This is a great opportunity for an experienced Clinical Science Associate/ Clinical Development Scientist to use your clinical expertise to drive the development of Roche's innovative new therapy for Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Your contributions will be important, innovative and high profile with a global focus as you take lead clinical responsibility for all aspects of two international clinical studies in a substantial phase 3 program.

This position offers a wide-range of responsibilities as you assist the team in the overall management, planning, evaluation and documentation of projects and studies.

Based in Welwyn Garden City, you will be part of one of four main global sites for the development of Roche's rich pipeline of products for cancer, immunological diseases, metabolic diseases, central nervous system disorders and viral diseases.

Working in a close-knit, friendly, global, professional team, you will need to be effective in an environment in which some team members are located in different geographic locations and on different time-zones.

Your challenges will include developing and writing clinical protocols and amendments, ensuring that they are medically and scientifically sound and meet all the relevant standards including good clinical practice, clinical operating guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Your role will be to provide scientific leadership for ongoing inflammatory bowel disease studies. You will monitor and review incoming data and ensure that the SOPs for evaluating, documenting and reporting adverse events are strictly followed. Drawing on your experience within the industry you will provide innovative solutions to new and ongoing challenges. Preparing annual reports and safety updates, you will ensure that data has been correctly interpreted for interim and final study reports and regulatory filing activities

Successful candidates for this position will have a post graduate degree (PhD, PharmD, Pharm, MS or equivalent). Experience in global clinical drug development is essential and experience in immunology or gastroenterology is highly desirable. You should be able to develop knowledge and expertise in new areas of medicine as needed within short time frames.
