Title: Language Services Coordinator

Manages all the daily department translation operations and is responsible to ensure that all requests meet the agreed upon deadlines and timelines as required by the various projects.
As required, provide overflow support for in-house translation, proofreading, and revision services to fulfill translation requests submitted by internal departments and divisions as part of the Language Services team.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinates all incoming translation requests while allocating each project to the proper resource, internal and external.
· Communicates with preferred external vendors.
· Communicates with Roche Print & Design Studio for all printed materials.
· Provides relevant administrative support, as required.
· Optimizes the translation process by using available translation e-tools.
· Works with Procurement to assign purchase orders.
· Maintains the department's filing system, both electronic and paper.
· Helps populate/prepare statistical reports.
Customer Service
· Communicates with internal customers to ensure needs/expectations are being addressed.
· Meets with customers to discuss project scope and deadlines, as required.
· Negotiates deadlines based on customers' needs and vendors' availability/expertise.
· Updates customers on project status, as required.
· Discusses/understands customers' needs and provides adequate solutions.
· Handles issues efficiently through verbal and written communication.
· Shows flexibility with customers and vendors to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
Translation and Proofreading
· Provide in-house translation of Roche materials, inclusive of ad hoc and urgent confidential content, as well as internal communications messages.
· Review documents translated by external agencies and/or freelancers to ensure accuracy of content and adherence to Roche standards.
· Provide proofreading support and review printers' proofs (validating final layouts of French materials) for internal departments and external agencies, as needed.
· Liaise with translation agencies and/or freelancers to provide background information, terminology assistance and feedback to ensure accurate fulfillment of Roche translation requests, as required.
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education, college diploma
· Professional certification in English-French translation (preferred, not mandatory)
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, team player
· Experience with CAT tools (FlowFit, LogiTerm, etc.) preferred
· Previous experience in a pharmaceutical environment would be an asset.
· Excellent communicator in both official languages (French and English)
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
· Continuous learning willingness required
